Grayish-green, woody stems. Leaves are dark green on top and are white on the bottom, persistent, narrow, pointed and 2 to 3 cm long. Known for its spicy scent. The strong aroma of the leaves makes it a favourite choice in culinary, medicinal or other preparations. (Semi-hardy perennial)

Plant can be kept from year to year when brought indoors for winter months. Use rosemary fresh or dried. For drying, pick just befor flowers appear for a more intense taste.
