Brassica oleracea gongylodes
A nice round, slightly flattened, a pale green root that is smooth. Early variety with an excellent uniformity in shape and maturity. Quickstar is sweet, juicy and rich in vitamins and minerals. Sliced into sticks, it is a nutritious and a flavourful snack for the whole family.
CULTURAL PRACTICES: Plant seeds 1 cm deep in a rich soil, in early spring. SOIL: Soil should have a pH around 6.5. SPACING:Space the rows 30 to 45 cm apart and thin seedlings to 13 cm apart. HARVEST:Harvest when young, 5 cm diameter after approximately 60 days.
