Flexibility and great quality of leaves. Match is an easy-to-grow crop that can produce a good harvest over a long period. This modern variety is also slow to have the leaves turn yellow.
CULTURAL PRACTICES: Sow in early spring. Germination is slow. Thin, allowing small rosettes to be formed by the dark green leaves. Pick when about 6 cm high, without separating the leaves. Popular in Europe, its flavour is enhanced by frost but lessened if too mature.
