An excellent source of vitamin A and C, iron and folic acid, Swiss chard is perfect as a side dish with meat, poultry or fish. Silverado has a dark green leaf and a white stalk and is slow to bolt even in hot weather.

CULTURAL PRACTICES: For better germination plant early in the spring in a rich well-prepared soil, as soon as it can be worked. SPACING: Sow in rows 45 cm apart, thinning seedlings to 30 cm apart. HARVEST: Cut the outer leaves first and continue picking as needed. A great source rich in vitamins. Very similar to spinach leaves in taste and appearance.
