Hyb. Shelby

Spinacia oleracea
This spinach variety has attractive oval leaves and a pleasing medium-green colour. Shelby handles changes of weather well, maintaining its appearance and quality when temperatures are variable in late spring and fall. It also has excellent resistance to downy mildew. Replaces the Escalade variety.

PLANTING TIME: May be planted as soon as the soil can be worked and again at the end of August or beginning of September for fall crops. SOIL: Well-drained and highly fertile soil.
